Cambridge House, a benchmark in international education and personal development

  • News

Start the new academic year at Cambridge House British International School: academic excellence, global activities and a unique learning environment.

Located in Rocafort, Valencia, Cambridge House British International School covers all stages of education, from 3 to 18 years old. It was the first school in Spain to obtain both the BSO (British School Overseas) distinction and NABSS (National Association of British Schools in Spain) accreditation, two seals that endorse the global academic excellence of this centre founded in 1986. It is approved by the Valencian Regional Ministry of Education and is currently considered one of the best schools in Spain.

Cambridge House is committed to accompanying each student on their individual educational journey, providing academic, social and personal support. Its aim is to help each student develop the skills, knowledge and mindset necessary to achieve their goals and successfully face the challenges of the future.

Improved environment and academic excellence

The school continues to renovate its learning environment. This year, the remodeling of the main entrance has begun, which will enhance both the aesthetics and functionality of the facilities. In addition, the spaces are being expanded with new classrooms to enrich the educational experience of all students.

Our school follows the National Curriculum of England, a curriculum that promotes curiosity and confidence, equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully pass exams and assessments. The programme is designed to facilitate understanding of the world around them and to face the challenges of the 21st century, focusing on developing responsible and committed young people, equipped with the fundamental tools to achieve success, whatever path they choose.

Students have the opportunity to gain world-renowned qualifications: international GCSEs at the age of 16, and A Level, BTEC and Selectivo qualifications at 18, enabling the majority of our students to secure a place at their first-choice university.

Welcome to new teachers

One of our greatest strengths as a school is the stability of our staff, which allows us to develop strong relationships with our families and students. However, each year we welcome new members who join our growing team. We are delighted to welcome new teachers and support staff in Primary and Secondary, who will bring new perspectives, experience and energy to our community. Their contributions will further strengthen our commitment to academic excellence and student wellbeing.

Global and local outreach

Our students will continue to enjoy a comprehensive programme of educational and enrichment trips throughout the school year. These include the opportunity to participate in Globeducate events, such as the Model United Nations, as well as sports tournaments with international schools in Valencia, educational day trips, end-of-year residential trips and our eagerly anticipated trips as part of our unique outdoor learning programme, The Journey. These experiences are designed to broaden horizons, build confidence and create lasting memories beyond the classroom.

Extracurricular activities

This year, we look forward to further expanding our extra-curricular offer by providing families with the opportunity to enrol in additional paid classes in Music, Sports, Languages, and enrichment activities.

We still have places available in table tennis, virtual reality, German (GOETHE), French (DELF), grass hockey, and Spanish for beginners for both students and parents. To enrol or for more information, please email: actividades@biscambridgehouse.com

Community events

We also look forward to continuing our vibrant calendar of community events, which play such an important role in bringing our families together. This year, highlights will include our successful Christmas and Spring Fairs, the ever-popular Paella Night and our Fallas celebrations. In addition, as mentioned above, we will be hosting social gatherings for parents on the last Friday of each month, providing a relaxed and friendly opportunity to connect with other families and staff.

If you would like to join the best British and international education in Valencia, the school offers students a comprehensive school transport network with 14 bus routes throughout Valencia and its metropolitan area, with a new route this year in L'Eliana.
