BTEC programme at Cambridge House

Our BTEC is an alternative to the traditional two-year Sixth Form or Baccalaureate as a pathway to European and UK universities. It is aimed at students aged 16-18 and is taught entirely in English.

At Cambridge House, all of our BTEC Courses, delivered entirely in English, combine practical learning with subject and theory content and reflect the increasing need for high quality professional and technical education pathways for students interested in a particular sector or industry.

With a focus on practical, skills-based learning, students study up to 16 units for which they will need to present evidence, based on actual work and studies. This allows them to demonstrate their skills and knowledge, while building their portfolio of work. Rather than testing everything together at the end of the course, BTECs give students the opportunity to show what they have learnt in each unit and build on their achievements as they progress.

Cambridge House, winner of the Gold Award for BTEC School of the Year in 2020, currently offers a Level 3 in Business for students aged 16+ and it is pleased to launch the Sport, Business and Management BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma for September 2023.  A world-class education partnership with Liverpool Football Club and Pearson for students aged 16 with 4º ESO/5 IGCSEs that opens doors to career opportunities in the global sports industry.

BTEC Level 3 qualifications are equivalent to 3 A levels and are recognised worldwide. Our BTEC International Level 3 qualifications are benchmarked to the UK and European Framework by NARIC (National Agency for the Recognition and Comparison of International Qualifications and Skills).

Why choose our BTEC programme?

BTECs embody a fundamentally learner-centered approach to the curriculum, with a flexible, unit-based structure and knowledge applied in project-based assessments. They focus on the holistic development of the practical, interpersonal and thinking skills required to be able to succeed in employment and higher education
